Streets closed and passersby were puzzled as a multiton concrete-covered Cadillac rolled in on a flatbed truck and came to a stop in front of the MCA last Friday. Accompanied by a number of vintage and modern Cadillacs, the concrete car was a newly refurbished Concrete Traffic, one of the MCA's first commissions. The MCA was the first stop on a procession that eventually led to the University of Chicago campus, where it's new and final exhibition space is, appropriately enough, in a parking garage near the Smart Museum.
